Update: I am now able to finally share some of Laura & Lee’s beautiful wedding photos.  The heli photos in particular are pretty bloody dramatic, even if I do say so myself….gallery at the bottom of this post.

I must admit, 99% of the time I feel like the luckiest guy in the world to live where I live and do what I do for a living.  And a large part of the reason I love being a wedding photographer so much is because of you guys, my couples.  My wedding couples are awesome and make my job a total pleasure.

And Laura & Lee were no exception.  I had the privilege of photographing their wedding at Canyon’s Lodge on the 31st of July and what a day it was!  The weather gods threw absolutely everything at us that day.  We had snow, glorious sunshine, sleet, wind, cloud…and it was amazing!  We even managed (somehow) to pull off a heli flight up to Remarkable’s Ridge and get some very dramatic “mountain-top in the teeth of a storm” photos.

Anyway, long story short, we got some amazing photos because of (rather than despite) the weather and Laura & Lee had an awesome wedding day.  Here is some lovely bride feedback I received from them the other day by email;

“Hi Patrick,

Thank you for the photos, they are great! We absolutely loved looking through them! We will be showing our family the photos at the wedding party on 30.8.14 so you are safe to use them from September.

Thanks for all your hard work, we are delighted with the pictures!

Laura and Lee”
