Heli wedding – Callum & Emily, Cecil Peak, Queenstown 27 June 2013

Despite a perfect weather forecast I woke yesterday morning to the sound of rain on the roof.  As I was shooting Callum and Emily’s heli wedding that morning I was a little nervous but in the end we couldn’t have asked for better weather.  The clouds mostly lifted, revealing patches of blue sky and misty and mysterious mountains.  The light was a photographer’s dream, soft and warm.  Callum and Emily are a lovely couple and it was a simple and beautiful ceremony on Cecil Peak with stunning views of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains.  But anyway, enough words from me, I’ll let this slideshow do the rest of the talking…

I am a wedding photographer based in beautiful Queenstown, New Zealand. I have been full-time with the photography thing since 2006 and still can’t believe I get to do what I love for a job! Here are a few words that I think sum me up: I AM…tall and bald, happy, imaginative, constantly hungry, active and friendly. I LOVE…my girl, coffee, photography, fooooooood, my family and friends, riding bikes, being outside, the simple things in life, people… I love my life! I believe that wedding photography can and should be SIMPLE, NATURAL, BEAUTIFUL.
