Yesterday afternoon I had the pleasure of photographing Steven and Penny’s engagement shoot here in Queenstown.   However I wasn’t the only one who got quite a surprise when Steven popped the question to Penny right there in front of me in the beautiful Queenstown Gardens!  (As Steven hadn’t told me about this little detail I had thought they were already engaged!  So needless to say when he dropped to one knee in front of Penny and pulled out a ring I got a bit of a shock!).

I’m still editing the images and I have to run out the door for a shoot at the stunning Peregrine Winery in Gibbston Valley any minute but I thought I would post a half dozen “teaser” photos from Steven and Penny’s wonderful day here in the meantime.

Steven and Penny are a lovely couple and despite confessing to me later to having been quite nervous about their photo shoot we all had a ball and came up with some lovely, natural photos that I think reflect their personalities really well.

Anyway, I had better go and throw my camera bags in the car.  I hope you enjoy this little teaser of Steven and Penny’s engagement shoot – I’ll post more photos as soon as I’ve had a chance to catch my breath.  (I’m also going to do a free StickyAlbum iPhone/iPad app for Steven and Penny displaying a selection of the best images from their engagement shoot.  If you’re interested in checking out StickyAlbums and want to get an idea of how they work and what they’re all about just post a comment here or email me at weddings@fallon.co.nz and I’ll send you the link and instructions on how to install the app on your iPhone/iPad/Android smart phone).   I hope you enjoy the photos.
